Our very own Hon Weng Chong had the chance to meet Peter Pronovost and share some ideas regarding antibiotics selection decision support. Dr. Pronovost is a Professor at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in the Departments of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine, and Surgery and is Medical Director for the Center for Innovation in Quality Patient Care.
Based on his pioneering work with checklists, in 2008 Time named Pronovost one of the 100 most influential people in the world. And he was cool enough to make some time to meet with Hon and talk about decision support, knowledge management systems and using mobile health approaches to deliver evidence based principles to even wider audiences.
